    Sunflower

The scientific name of the sunflower is Helianthus. The name comes from the Greek words "Helios" (Sun) and "Anthos" (Flower).

The current world record for the tallest sunflower was set in 2014 at 9 meters and 2 centimeters tall, grown by Hans-Peter Schiffer in Germany.
Sunflowers are bee magnets; each flower head produces large amounts of pollen and nectar that attract bees and other pollinators.
At the bud stage, sunflowers exhibit a unique trait called heliotropism, where the sunflower's face constantly turns toward the sun throughout the day, starting the day facing east and ending it facing west.

Not all sunflowers have sunny yellow petals. Hybrids come in a variety of other colors, such as golden yellow, pale yellow, cream, white, burgundy, rust, and even with a pinkish tint.
