Beluga
Beluga whales are also called white whales, and their unusual coloration makes them one of the most recognizable and easily distinguishable of all whales. Young whales are born gray or even brown, fading to white when they become sexually mature at around five years of age.
Belugas generally live together in small groups known as pods. They are social animals and very vocal communicators, using a diverse language of clicks, whistles, and thumps. Belugas can also imitate a variety of other sounds.
